Women’s Soccer Preview: Lehigh and Seton Hall

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's soccer team (1-2-1) will play at home on Thursday, and then on the road on Sunday.

What You Need to Know:

The Blue Hens opened the season with a 3-0 win over Delaware State at home on Aug. 18.
After leading UD in goals scored in 2021, Sara D'Appolonia has two goals and one assist on her resume in 2022. Izzy Lane leads the team with three assists, while Mia Reed has 20 saves in goal.

The Opponent

Lehigh is 0-2 on the season after losses to Monmouth and Drexel so far this season. The Blue Hens lead the series, 10-0-1 all-time. UD won the last outing, 2-0, on August 23, 2019.
Seton Hall is 2-1-1 this season. The Pirates have wins over Central Connecticut State and St. Joe's. UD leads the all-time series, 4-2-3 all-time. Seton Hall won the last outing, 1-0, on August 29, 2021.
