Football to Host CAA-Newcomer NC A&T for Homecoming Matchup

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team concludes its four-game homestand on Saturday as it jumps back into CAA play with a matchup against conference-newcomer North Carolina A&T. Kickoff at Delaware Stadium is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be simultaneously broadcast on FloSports and NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus.
The game is part of UD's Homecoming Weekend festivities and Delaware will hold its Celebration of Champions prior to the game on the field, recognizing past Blue Hen champions across all sports.

ABOUT THE HENS
- The Blue Hens are 4-1 on the season and sit at 2-0 in the CAA. On the back of its three-game winning streak, UD now sits at No. 8 in both the AFCA Coaches Poll and the Stats Perform FCS Top 25.
- Last time out, Delaware moved to 3-0 at Delaware Stadium with a 43-17 victory over Duquesne in front of a sold-out Parents and Family Weekend crowd.
- The Blue Hens scored 28-unanswered points after trailing 17-15 midway through the second quarter. UD outgained Duquesne 466-290, including a 256-58 margin in the second half.
- Ryan O'Connor set career highs with 28 completions, 347 passing yards and four touchdown passes.
- Marcus Yarns finished with 97 all-purpose yards and had two rushing touchdowns.
- JoJo Bermudez and Chandler Harvin each had 83 receiving yards and caught a touchdown pass, while Joshua Youngblood and Phil Lutz both had scoring grabs.
- Jackson Taylor led the defense with a game-high 13 tackles and 2.5 TFLs.
- Jack Hall had seven tackles and set career highs with 1.5 sacks and 2.0 TFLs.
- Ty Davis, Nic Ware and Steven Rose Jr. each had an interception. The Blue Hens are tied for the national lead with nine interceptions on the season.
ABOUT THE AGGIES
- North Carolina A&T enters with a 1-4 record and is 0-2 in the CAA with losses to Elon and Villanova. The Aggies lone win of the season came against Norfolk State.
- The offense is averaging 13.4 ppg and 211.6 ypg of total offense, with just 58.2 yards through the air. The defense is allowing 31.0 ppg and 417.4 total yards to opponents.
- Kevin White has been the team's primary quarterback for the past two games and has thrown for 162 yards with one interception. He is also averaging 50.7 rush yards per game and has found the end zone three times.
- Kenji Christian and Wesley Graves lead the team with 340 and 232 total rushing yards, respectively, and have combined to score three touchdowns.
- Taymon Cooke is a threat in the kickoff return game, averaging 38.9 yards per return and has twice returned kicks for a touchdown.
- BJ Turner leads the Aggies with 62 total tackles and 8.0 TFL. Avarion Cole has 35 tackles and the team's lone interception while Tywayne Williams has two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
- Saturday will be just the second meeting between the two schools on the gridiron, and the first matchup in 45 years. The Blue Hens won the only previous game in 1978 by a 26-0 score in Newark.
- This is North Carolina A&T's first season in the CAA for football.
