NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware women's swimming & diving team competed in its first home dual meet of the season against Yale on Saturday, Oct. 21.

COACHES QUOTE

"Great meet for our Blue Hens. They competed really well in the pool and boards against a very talented team and raised to the challenge. A lot to learn and work on as we set sights to our mid season meet," head coach Pablo Marmolejo said.

NCAA ZONE CUTS

Julia Servas and Alex Pastris earned NCAA Diving Zone Cuts with their performances in today's meet. Servas finished third with an overall score of 286.88, while Pastris finished fourth with a score of 276.30

RESULTS

The Blue Hens placed first in the following events:

Lauren Hartel in the 1000 freestyle (10:23.70)
Mania Tasakou in the 200 breaststrokes (2:18.79)

They also earned second place finishes in the following events:

200 medley relay (1:47.66) which consisted of Erin Shema, Tasakou, Aislinn Mitchell and Nicole Chiappa
Anthi Lyra in the 1000 freestyle (10:23.70)
Shema in the 200 freestyle (1:55.36)
Tasakou in the breaststroke (1:03.50)
Olivia Willemsen in the 50 freestyle (24.37 seconds) and 100 freestyle (52.77 seconds)
Pastris in the 3-meter dive (273.83 score)
Sara Smith in the 200 backstroke (2:05.61)
Hartel and Lyra in the 500 freestyle (5:05.63)
Alexandra Misikova in the 100 butterfly (58.05 seconds)
400 freestyle relay team (3:32.73) which consisted of Shema, Mitchell, Chiappa and Williemsen
