NEWARK, DEL. – The University of Delaware women's soccer season comes to a close with a 0-0- draw against UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, Oct. 22 at Grant Stadium

The Blue Hens campaign ends with a 5-5-8 overall record and a 2-3-7 record in conference, leading to 13 points.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Kyla Burns started and played in all 90 minutes in Sunday's contest. She had three saves on the day, and picked up her third solo shutout of the season.
Offensively, the Blue Hens had 12 shots, five of which were on goal.
Morgan Tilley led the way with three shots, while Raychel Speicher, Izzy Lane, and Katie Hackley each had two.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens had the advantage on offense, shooting nine of their 12 total shots in the first half.
The key save of the day came in the first 71^st minute when UNCW had a free kick from 15-yards out of the net. The Seahawks shot was saved thanks to a great diving effort from Burns.
The Blue Hens had a chance to take a 1-0 lead off a shot from Tilley, however, her shot was saved by the Seahawks goalkeeper.

GAME NOTES

Sunday's matchup was the 25^th all-time matchup between Delaware and UNCW. The Blue Hens snapped a two game losing streak against the Seahawks, and picked up their first ever tie at home against them.
The Blue Hens end the season with six defensive shutouts, and only allowed multiple goals in a game once on the season.
