Men’s Tennis Pulls Out Hard-Fought 5-2 Win Against Fairleigh Dickinson

ELKTON, Md. – Delaware men's tennis (5-1) picked up a hard-fought 5-2 win against Fairleigh Dickinson (2-3) Friday afternoon for its fourth-straight win.
"Doubles was a key point for us today," Assistant Coach Nate Perrone said. "We got down early on a few courts, battled back, and changed the momentum heading into singles. FDU came at us with everything they had in singles. I'm proud of the way we kept our composure, with the ups and downs that happened along the way. This was a complete team effort today but special shoutout to Alexandre Gluck for battling through a long match to get us the clinch. He came up absolutely massive in a high-pressure moment."
Delaware tallied wins in the first and second double slot to claim the point.
William Wibmer and Daniel Krulig picked up straight-set wins in the fifth and fourth singles slots, respectively, to push the Hens up 3-0.
The Knights battled back to make it 3-2 with wins in the top two flights before Alexandre Gluck clinched the match for UD with a straight-set victory in the third slot. Bhakar then rounded out the day.
Delaware returns to match action on Saturday, February 26 against BU.
