Women’s Tennis Picks Up CAA Win at Monmouth, 7-0

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Delaware women's tennis picked up its first CAA victory of the season with a 7-0 handling of Monmouth on Sunday afternoon in the Garden State. The Blue Hens move to 6-2, 1-0 CAA with their fifth-straight victory, while the Hawks fall to 4-7, 0-1 CAA.

"It's always nice to get a conference win on the road and our ladies came out firing," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "We used the momentum from doubles and carried it out to singles, and we played with a purpose."

UD didn't miss a beat on Sunday with a perfect day on the courts. The Hens won all three doubles matches to secure the point and followed that up with six straight-set victories in singles competition.

Delaware welcomes Rutgers to Delcastle Tennis Center on Friday for an afternoon match.
