Women’s Tennis Handles GW, Moves Win Streak to 10

WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware women's tennis (11-2) handled George Washington (3-5-1) Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 decision to move its win streak to 10-consecutive matches.
"We are competing at a high level right now," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "These girls are trusting the process and playing fearless tennis. We will continue using this confidence that we are gaining from every match and come out swinging this Wednesday when we play Temple."
Delaware claimed the doubles point with a pair of quick wins in the first and second slots.
In singles play, Alina Vasilenko rallied back after a first-set loss to win in the top spot with victories in the second and third sets. Julieta Honrubia had a similar result, just overcoming a second-set loss. Toni Nelson and Isabella Montana each picked up straight-set wins.
The Hens return to action on Wednesday when they take on Temple in Cherry Hill, N.J.
