Men’s Tennis Secures Crucial Conference Win at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Delaware men's tennis (11-2, 3-0 CAA) picked up a crucial CAA victory Sunday as the Hens downed William & Mary (6-6, 2-1 CAA) 4-3.
"I'm so proud of these guys for the heart and soul they demonstrated today," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "Despite being challenged on many fronts, they showed boldness and courage, and this is a huge win for the program."
Delaware took the early advantage with wins in both second and third doubles to push ahead 1-0.
Bernardo Teixeira and Udayan Bhakar tallied key straight set decisions on the back end of the Hens rotation. Tied up at 3-3, rookie Tobey Lock notched the game-winning point with a tough three-set match in the four spot.
Delaware is back in action on Saturday at Princeton.
