Women’s Tennis Falls at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Delaware women's tennis (12-3, 2-1 CAA) narrowly fell at William & Mary (9-4, 3-0 CAA) Sunday, 4-3. The loss snaps an 11-match win streak for the Blue & Gold.
"We fought hard and competed," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "I'm so proud of my players for their heart and strength and for never backing down. William & Mary did better than us on the big points. We will learn from this match and continue to improve."
Delaware started ahead 1-0 with wins in first and third doubles.
The home team would garner victories in one through four singles to clinch the win, with UD winning in the final two spots.
The Blue Hens have a 10-day break before taking on Elon and NC A&T on Wednesday, March 29.
