Women’s Tennis Blanks FDU For Seventh-Straight Win
3/3/2023 5:45:00 PM | Women's Tennis
ELKTON, Md. – Delaware women's tennis (8-2) blanked Fairleigh Dickinson (0-5) Friday afternoon, 7-0, to pick up its seventh-straight win.
"Using the momentum from the doubles point, we were able to put up a mature and controlled performance on all six singles courts," Assistant Coach Lucy Harper said. "Having each girl close out their match in straight sets gives us confidence heading into our match against Navy."
The Hens quickly claimed the doubles point with a pair of 6-1 decisions in the first and third slots before heading into singles.
Six straight-set victories came in singles with all Blue Hens handling their opponents.
Delaware returns to action on Saturday against Navy.
