Women’s Tennis Ties Single Season Wins Record With Pair of Victories Monday

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware women's tennis (19-3) tied the program's single season win record on Monday after picking up a 4-1 decision over Morgan State (6-9) and a 4-1 decision against Delaware State (9-7-1).
"Today was a good day in the office," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "Anytime you are playing doubleheaders you are testing your mental and physical stamina and kudos to our girls for being resilient. We are playing solid in doubles, taking advantage of every ball that comes through the middle. Today in singles we persevered by staying consistent and outlasting our opponents. We will continue to build from this as we prepare for Drexel on Wednesday."
The Hens moved to 22-0 this season in dual matches doubles points after winning both matches on Monday.
Singles action saw UD win three in each contest, dropping just one match in each. Isabella Montana went a perfect 2-0, seeing minimal resistance.
Delaware heads to Philadelphia on Wednesday to take on CAA rival Drexel.
