Men’s Tennis Claims Newark Bragging Rights With 4-3 Win at NJIT

NEWARK, N.J. – Delaware men's tennis (14-8) claimed bragging rights in the battle of Newarks, as the Hen downed NJIT (14-6) Friday in the Garden State.

"We were on a mission today and we bounced back incredibly well with this tough win on the road," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "Our guys came out strong and this was probably one of the better matches I've seen our guys play so far. We are pumped for Senior Day this Sunday vs. Morgan State."

Delaware picked up the doubles point after wins in the first and second slots.

The Hens continued the momentum with the first three singles wins to claim the match and a 4-0 lead. NJIT rallied back in the remaining matches to finish the match just short.

UD will host Morgan State on Sunday for Senior Day.
