NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's tennis (12-7) handled Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's (8-5) Wednesday afternoon at the Delaware Fieldhouse Outdoor Courts with a 6-1 win.

"This was a really important win," captain Daniel Krulig said. "We had good energy building up and it's good to see that come through today at home. This is a great confidence booster heading into Georgetown on Saturday."

Delaware took the early lead, claiming the doubles point with wins in the second and third slots.

Singles competition saw little resistance for the Blue Hens as the better bird picked up straight-set wins on five courts.

Delaware heads to the nation's capital on Saturday for a bout at Georgetown.
