PHILADELPHIA - The University of Delaware women's soccer dropped a non-conference match against Penn 1-0 on Sunday.

COACHES QUOTE
"We view every opportunity to compete as an opportunity to learn, no matter the score," head coach Kelly Lawrence said. "When we have control of the game we need to learn to be ruthless and put teams away. We continued to show our grit and character in the second half and responded to adversity in a positive way."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Kyla Burns started in goal for the second straight game. She recorded four saves, and didn't allow a goal.
Burns split time with Mia Reed for the fourth straight game. Reed had one save, allowed one goal, and was credited with the decision.
Morgan Tilly, Katie Hackley, and Raychel Speicher each had two shots. Both of Hackley's shots were on goal, while Tilly and Speicher each had one shot-on-goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens had an opportunity to score with less than two minutes to go in the first half, but Caitlin St. Leger's shot was blocked.
Penn scored the first goal of the game in the 60th minute from Isobel Glass. She received a cross from Mia Fuss and knocked the ball in with her head.

GAME NOTES

Sunday was the 17th all-time meeting between the Blue Hens and Quackers. Penn now owns an 11-6 series lead over Delaware and has won the last six contests.
