Fernandez Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware men's soccer forward Carlos Fernandez has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week after his performances against Mount St. Mary's and William & Mary, the league announced Monday.
The senior from A Coruña, Spain, recorded eight points on four goals in a 2-0-0 week for the Blue Hens. Fernandez tallied the game-winner in the 78th minute of Tuesday's win at Mount St. Mary's. The Hens hosted the Tribe Saturday night, which ended in dramatic fashion as Fernandez recorded a hat trick in the Hen's comeback. He tallied two of his three goals in the final four minutes of the game to put Delaware on top for the 3-2 victory.
Delaware remains undefeated with a 4-0-1 record.
