Men's Swimming & Diving Remains Unbeaten with Dual Meet Victory over CAA Foe Towson

TOWSON, Md– The Delaware men's swimming & diving program was victorious in its dual meet against Towson by a score of 160-140 on Saturday.
With the win, the Blue Hens remain unbeaten and improve their record to 340 on the season.

The following athletes earned first place in their respective events:
- Philip Townsend in the 1-meter dive (288.15 final score) and 3-meter dive (276.00 final score)
- Andrew Taylor in the 200 freestyle (1:42.07) and 500 freestyle (4:40.50)
- Gavin Currie in the 100 backstroke (49.80 seconds) and 200 backstroke (1:47.89)
- Jack Hattery in the 200 butterfly (1:52.18)
- Matvei Namakonov in the 50 freestyle (20.62 seconds) and 100 freestyle (46.15 seconds)

The Blue Hens will close out the regular season with the Blue Hen Invite on Feb. 3 at the Harry W. Rawstorm Natatorium in the Carpenter Sports Building starting at 10 a.m. This will be the final meet the Blue Hens compete in before the start of the Coastal Athletic Association Championships from Feb. 28 – March 2.
