Women’s Tennis Blows Past Villanova to Start Season

WILMINGTON, Del. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team blew past Villanova in the spring season opener Saturday, 6-1.
ON THE RECORD
"This was a good win to start the season," Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach Pablo Montana said. "We came out strong in doubles and maintained solid energy throughout all three courts. In singles, we kept the momentum, and had some challenges losing the first set on a couple courts. We stayed mentally tough and held our ground. We will use this confidence as we prepare for Penn on Thursday."

- Alina Vasilenko snagged a comeback win in singles.
