NEWARK, Del. – As the nation gears up to celebrate Black History Month, the University of Delaware Athletics Department proudly honors the remarkable achievements and contributions of our Black student-athletes, coaches, and their respective programs.
The month-long celebration aims to "Unite the 302" community while paying homage to the rich tapestry of Black excellence. Highlighting this celebration will be the Unity Night games hosted by the men's and women's basketball teams inside the Bob Carpenter Center.
The festivities commence with the Women's basketball team on Friday, Feb. 9, facing off against William & Mary, followed by the Men's team clash against the reigning CAA champions, Charleston, on Thursday, Feb. 22. The latter game will be broadcast live on NBC Philadelphia, and fans are encouraged to attend both events adorned in black attire, symbolizing unity and solidarity.
In an inspired endeavor to spotlight the exceptional accomplishments of our student-athletes, the department presents a diverse array of achievements that transcend the ordinary.
