Ragazzoni Breaks 100 Back Record at Day One of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The University of Delaware women's swimming & diving athlete Angelica Ragazzoni broke the program record in the 100 backstroke on day one of the Bucknell Invitational on Friday, Nov. 22.

Ragazzoni time of 53.96 breaks her previous record of 53.98, which was set earlier in the season, The record was set in the 40 medley relay.

After day one, the Blue Hens are first out of seven teams with 421 points

RESULTS

The women's 200 freestyle relay team of Garrity Ford, Olivia Willemsen, Elishka Hajek and Ragazzoni were fist with a time of 1:32.50.
The 400 medley relay team of Ragazzoni, Mania Tasakou, Victoria Novinskiy and Willemsen finished first with a time of 3:39.92.
Novinskiy was second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.25. Marisa Schenkenberger (2:04.56) and Tasakou (2:07.76) finished seventh and eighth.
Ragazzoni (23.12) and Hajek (23.48) were fourth and seventh in the 50 free.
Peyton Sherrill was the top finisher for the Blue Hens in the 1-meter dive. She placed sixth in the finals with a score of 240.30.
Lauren Hartel was the top finisher in the 500 free at 4:58.99 in seventh place.

Day two starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the finals starting at 6 p.m.
