DACCR Set to Host Beast of the East Wrestling Tournament

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Department of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation (DACCR) is set to host the Beast of the East Wrestling Tournament at the Bob Carpenter Center from December 19-22. In total, 1,650 wrestlers will compete in the four-day event in both boys and girls competitions with representation from over 20 states.
"We are fortunate to have such a wonderful arena to host our event, the Bob Carpenter Center of the University of Delaware," Beast of the East Founder Vic Leonard said. "The University of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center has been our facility of choice since 1997 and the staff at "the Bob" has been very gracious and accommodating for our event."
The event, which has expanded over the past two years to include girls wrestling, will be held at UD for the 28th-consecutive year.
"We are proud to serve as the host facility for one of the top wrestling tournaments in the country," Senior Associate AD, Sales & Service Kyle Koch said. "It's a privilege to contribute to creating memorable experiences for high school wrestlers here at the University of Delaware. Our team is committed to ensuring that wrestlers, organizers, and fans alike have an exceptional experience throughout their time at our venue."
