NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware student-athletes tallied a 94.5 percent single-year graduation rate, the NCAA announced. This number highlights a competitive four-year class average of 92-percent. The 94.5 percent single-year rate shows a five-percent increase over the last two years.
"I'm so proUD of our student-athletes for continuing to strive for success in the classroom," Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation Chrissi Rawak said. "This is a true testament to our faculty, academic advisors, and coaches for continuing to support our student-athletes both in and out of competition."
The Hens' 94.5 single-year rate is 2.6 percent better than the national division I average, three percent higher than the CAA average, and 4.6 higher than the FCS average. UD also ranks higher than the FBS average of 92.0.
The NCAA calculates graduation rates over a six-year period. The most recent reports show data at the entering class of 2017 and investigating whether they graduated within six years of initial enrollment.
The single year student-athlete graduation success rate also considers students who transfer in/out successfully.
