No. 46 Men’s Tennis Rallies to Down Monmouth for Seventh-Straight Win
2/24/2024 8:39:00 PM | Men's Tennis
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – No. 46 University of Delaware men's tennis rallied to take down Monmouth 4-3 Saturday evening for its seventh-straight win. The Blue Hens advance to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in league play, handing the Hawks their first loss of the season to drop them to 6-1, 0-1 CAA.
ON THE RECORD
"This is a huge win for us, especially the way it came," Head Men's Tennis Coach Marc Pibernat said. "We lost the doubles point for the first time this season, so we had to play singles knowing we needed four wins out of six matches. The team was able to bounce right back from doubles and we played very solid singles. As coaches we are so proud of how the team competed but more importantly, the preparation and hard work we are putting before every match in every practice we have. Today's shoutout goes to the entire TEAM and we can't wait to go back to work on Monday to prepare our match vs Navy next Friday."
