WILMINGTON, Del. – No. 40 University of Delaware men's tennis breezed past Georgetown Sunday, 6-1, for its 10th-straight win of the season. The Blue Hens remain undefeated at 10-0, while Georgetown drops to 9-4.
ON THE RECORD
"This is a huge win for us especially the way we did it," Head Men's Tennis Coach Marc Pibernat said. "Beating a good team like Georgetown comes nothing short of the excellence we are trying to achieve as a team. Preparing for this match we knew that we would need to play our best tennis to have a shot at winning. No wins come easy in division I college tennis and as coaches we value every single one of these wins, we are getting as a team especially this one that makes it 10 in a row, and we are still undefeated. We will go back to work on Tuesday to prepare for our next match against Hofstra on Wednesday which we are excited about it as it will be our first outdoor match of the season."
