Women’s Tennis Blanks Stony Brook for Third CAA Win

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team blanked conference foe Stony Brook Friday afternoon, 7-0, to pick up its third conference victory. The Blue Hens advance to 12-5, 3-0 CAA, while the Seawolves drop to 2-9, 1-2 CAA.
ON THE RECORD
"That was a solid conference win today, and I'm pleased with how we are playing so far outside," Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach Pablo Montana said. "We showed good resiliency today playing in the wind and we also showed good mental toughness on a few courts when we had to make a comeback. We will use this confidence as we prepare for Richmond on Sunday."

- The Hens jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches.
- Paulina Jurkowska clinched the win in No. 5 singles with a straight set win. She advances to 11-3 on the season in singles and picked up her seventh-straight singles victory.
- Jurkowska was joined by Slade Coetzee, Maryia Hrynashka, and Julieta Honrubia for straight set wins.
- Hrynashka claimed her eighth-straight singles match to advance to 18-5.
- Navya Vadlamudi claimed her fifth-straight singles victory.
