Women’s Tennis Rallies Past Richmond, 4-3
3/17/2024 4:47:00 PM | Women's Tennis
NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team rallied back Sunday afternoon to sneak past Richmond, 4-3. The Blue Hens improve to 13-5 on the season, while the Spiders dip to 4-5.
ON THE RECORD
"That was a close one today and it could've gone either way," Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach Pablo Montana said. "We knew this was going to be a nail biter going into today's match as this was a very close match last year. We lost the doubles point, but our players did not panic and believed in themselves going into singles. We started off great winning the first set on five of the six courts, and Richmond battled us throughout the day. We still have many things to work on to play at the level we know we can play at."
