LEWISBURG, Pa. – A late goal from Graduate Student Paige Kenton helped the University of Delaware women's soccer team earn a 1-1 draw against non-conference foe Bucknell Sunday.
ON THE RECORD
"We played very well in the first half and dominated the game. Going forward we would like to get more from our play when we put that kind of performance forward in a half. We will be looking to put a 90 minute performance together going in to next week", head coach Kelly Lawrence said. "The adversity came with the weather delays and we didn't managed it that well. So, we will reflect and look to make some tweaks and learn and be more prepared going forward. Good teams make it really hard to beat them and I am proud of our team for finding a way to bend and not break. A tie on the road to an NCAA tournament team is a good result although after the first half performance I felt we could have gotten more from the game. We try not to talk about individuals very often but we have to say that we're especially happy for Paige (Kenton). She chose to come home to the 302 for her final year of college soccer and has made an immediate impact both on the field and off. The coaching staff and team couldn't be happier for her to score her first goal as a Blue Hen in that fashion."
