Macdonald Named Senior Associate AD, Development

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Department of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation (DACCR) has named Casey Macdonald its new senior associate AD, development, Senior Deputy AD, Revenue Generation & Sport Administration Jordan Skolnick announced Monday.
'We are thrilled to have Casey join the Blue Hen family," Skolnick said. "Casey has demonstrated an excellent ability to connect with people, strategically drive fundraising, and be a leader. With Casey leading our fundraising efforts, we are set up to continue to have tremendous success in this new era of Delaware Athletics."
Macdonald joins the Blue Hens after spending the last four years at New Mexico as the associate AD, major gifts. In her role with the Lobos, she had oversight of the Lobo Club development staff including major gifts, premium seating, annual fund, events, and stewardship. Her tenure was highlighted by a FY24 that closed with a record-breaking fundraising year of $9.3 million with $2.6 million coming in major gifts.

Macdonald joined the UNM staff after a three-year stint at Temple in its development office as the major gift officer. She was elevated to that role after joining the Cherry & White as assistant director, development operations.
She began her professional career at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland where she spent three years on staff as Blue & Grey Club Director/Assistant Director of Annual Giving.
Macdonald earned her bachelor's degree in sport management from SUNY Brockport in 2014, where she was a member of the gymnastics team. She also holds a master's degree in business administration from Hood where she graduated in December 2017.

Located in Newark, Delaware, University of Delaware Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation sponsors 21 varsity sports and three spirit teams. Aiming to achieve excellence together, the department boasts a storied history of 529 All-Americans, 138 conference titles, and 10 national championships. Currently competing in the Coastal Athletic Association, the department will transition to FBS football and become a full-time member of Conference USA, while also adding women's ice hockey as the 22nd varsity sport – both effective July 1, 2025.
