TOWSON, Md. – The University of Delaware women's basketball team could not hold the lead at Towson, falling 63-48. The Blue Hens fall to 4-14, while the Tigers improve to 5-14.

HENS HIGHLIGHTS

Ande'a Cherisier tallied a team-best 15 points on 7-of-12 from the floor.
Rebecca Demeke joined Cherisier in double figures, posting 11 points, while shooting 40-percent from beyond the arc.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Hens held a one-possession advantage after the first quarter, leading 16-13.
After UD scored the first five points in the second, Towson called a timeout with 8:23 remaining down 21-13. The second stanza continued to benefit the Blue & Gold, opening up a 13-point lead with 7:14 to go in the half. The Blue Hens took a 27-21 lead into the locker room.
In the third quarter, the home team closed the gap, taking the lead back 34-33 with 4:42 remaining in the period. A strong quarter for the Tigers allowed them to lead by one heading into the final frame.
Towson opened the fourth quarter scoring eight unanswered, widening the gap to 50-41. The Tigers' largest lead reached 18, which held up as the final margin.

GAME NOTES

Tonight's effort marked Cherisier's 11th game with 10 or more points this season.
