Football Hosts Middle Tennessee for Weekday CUSA Matchup on ESPN2

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will host the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders on Wednesday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2 for the third-ever meeting between the two schools. It is the first time the schools will meet since October 21, 1978 and the first time Delaware plays a home football game on a Wednesday since October 14, 1903. The last time Delaware played on ESPN2 at home was on December 10, 2010 as it hosted New Hampshire.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters the contest 3-3, 1-2 CUSA, following a 38-25 road loss to Jax State.
- QB Nick Minicucci leads the team with 1,794 passing yards and nine touchdown passes, while rushing for a team-best seven touchdowns to rank first in CUSA and tied for the 10th-most nationally at the position. The signal caller also ranks first in CUSA and sixth nationally with 299.0 passing yards per contest. He also leads the league and ranks third in the nation in total offense with 322.5 yards per game. His 422 passing yards at Jax State was the first time he crossed the 400-yard plateau and ranked 4th most in a game in UD history.
- RB Jo Silver, a preseason Doak Walker Award Candidate, leads UD's rushing attack with 375 rushing yards on the season to go with three rushing touchdowns. Silver averages 62.5 rushing yards per game, good for sixth-best in CUSA.
- WR Kyre Duplessis, who is first in CUSA and 56th nationally in receiving yards per game (69.7) and is tied for 56th nationally, paces the Hens with 27 receptions, 418 yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
- LB Gavin Moul leads the Hens in tackles this season with 53, good for third-most in CUSA.
- The Blue & Gold lead the conference in total offense (429.7), passing offense (302.5), touchdowns per game (four), first downs per game (24.5), third down conversion rate (47.6%), red zone touchdown percentage (72%), average kickoff return yards (25.8), and average punt return yards (17.8).
ABOUT THE BLUE RAIDERS
- Middle Tennessee is led by head coach Derek Mason, who owns a 31-69 career record and 4-14 record in two seasons at the helm of the Blue Raiders.
- The Blue Raiders enter the contest 1-5, 0-2 CUSA, coming off a 22-20 loss to Missouri State.
- Middle Tennessee's offense is led by QB Nicholas Vattiato, who has 1,392 passing yards and eight touchdowns on the season. His 232.0 passing yards per game ranks fifth in Conference USA.
- The Blue Raiders are led on the ground by RB Jekail Middlebrook, who has 433 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the campaign. His 72.2 rushing yards per game ranks third in Conference USA.
- WR Nahzae Cox is the team's leading receiver with 353 yards and four touchdowns.
- On defense, LB Parker Hughes has 46 tackles on the year to lead the team.
