TOWSON, Md. - University of Delaware field hockey defeated Towson by a score of 1-0.
This win extends the Fightin' Blue Hen's winning streak to 16 games in a row against TU.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- UD outshot the Tigers 21-4, and 7-2 in shots on goal.
- Livia van't Hek recorded her second goal in as many games.
- Kristi Merashoff picked up her second shutout of the season, and third of her career. She recorded two saves in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Livia van't Hek got things started for the Hens in the 34th minute, after beating the Tigers' goalkeeper in a one-on-one.
- The Hens defense was able to keep Towson off the board for their third shutout of the season.
GAME NOTES
- Merashoff is now 3-0 in her career against Towson, allowing just two goals across those three games.
- This win extended the Hens winning streak in Coastal Athletic Association games to four games.

The Blue Hens remain on the road on Sunday, taking on former CAA foe Drexel at 1 p.m.
