ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Delaware men's tennis seniors Tobey Lock and Euan Mackenzie competed in the NCAA Individual Doubles Championships, falling to No. 5-8 TCU in two sets (3-6, 63-77) in the program's first appearance in the tournament since 1974 and first overall by a doubles pair.
ON THE RECORD
"Congratulations to TCU on a great match today," interim head coach Nathan Perrone said. "Wow, Tobey and Euan fought hard. That is the epitome of the way they work and the way a Blue Hen should go down fighting. I could not be more proud of them for everything they have accomplished, even just by qualifying for this tournament. What a week it has been. As a coach, to see your student athletes experience something like this is very special. It meant the world to me to see them like this. For Tobey Lock and Euan Mackenzie in this life, it's only the beginning. What they can accomplish not just on the tennis court but in their life to come is endless. The sky is the limit. I'm excited for the next step and to see what these two and our entire program can build off of this. Let's go Hens."
