Women's Swimming & Diving Announces Class of 2030 Signing Class

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware women's swimming & diving has signed 10 incoming freshmen to its 2026-27 roster as part of National Signing Day, head coach Pablo Marmolejo announced Wednesday.
The program signed recruits from four different states and British Columbia.
Cailin Maley | Lincoln University, Pa. | Avon Grove High School
Maley has swam for four years at Avon Grove High School in Pennsylvania, including qualifying for district and state meets on multiple occasions upon signing with the Blue Hens. The incoming freshman earned All-Ches-Mont and All-District honors in her first three seasons, in addition to top-four and podium finishes at those meets. She plans to major in criminal justice at Delaware.
Mabel Zegowitz | Crofton, Md. | Crofton High School
Zegowitz has picked up four varsity letters over four seasons at Crofton High School, during a career where she has earned three all-county championships. She earned a state championship with her club team, Bayside Aquatics, and was a sectionals and futures qualifier. Academically, she is involved in the National Honor Society and plans to major in marine science at UD. Her sister, Ruby, currently attends Delaware.

The Fightin' Blue Hens will travel up to the Keystone State this weekend, from November 21-23, to compete in the Bucknell Invitational for their first multi-day event of the season.

Olivia Auwater | Ambler, Pa. | Upper Dublin High School
Auwater is a four-year varsity swimmer who is a two-time academic All-American and defending Pennsylvania team state champion. She set the Pennsylvania state record in the medley relay as a junior in 2024 and holds the Upper Dublin High School record in the 200IM. Auwater was named a team captain for her senior season for the Cardinals in 2025-26. Alongside her academic All-American recognition, she was also part of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in finance at Delaware.Shay Donovan | Hawthorn Woods, Ill. | Adlai E. Stevenson High School
Donovan has swam for four years at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois upon signing with the Fightin' Blue Hens, she was named a team captain for her senior season. She is coming off of three-consecutive top 16 ISHA state finishes and back-to-back finishes in the top eight in the state meet. Donovan was named an All-American in 2024 and set the 200 IM varsity record as a junior at 2:04. In 2024, with Patriot Aquatic Club, she won the state championship at the Illinois Senior Championship in the 400IM and the 200-breast. Academically, she is involved with the National Honor Society. Her mother, Amanda, swam for Missouri from 1996-2000. Donovan plans to major in engineering at Delaware.Gabriella Elk | Pittsburgh, Pa. | Hampton High School
Elk joins the Blue Hens after four years as a diver at Hampton High School. She is a defending PIAA State Champion and two-time WPIAL District Champion. With Hampton, Elk has been a part of back-to-back section championships. She has qualified for USA Diving Zones and AAU Nationals during her secondary career. At Hampton, she has been involved in the National Honor Society. Her mother, Kristen, attended Delaware, graduating in 2000.Sophie Fredericks | Arlington, Va. | Yorktown High School
Fredericks competed for four years in sprint events as part of the three-time reigning state champion Yorktown High School swim team. Individually, she is the defending Virginia state champion in the 100-fly. Prior to her senior year, Fredericks was named a captain of the team. Academically, she plans to major in sports health at UD.Carolyne Jia | Burnaby, British Columbia | Moscrop Secondary School
Jia comes to Newark by way of British Columbia, after four years of swimming at the varsity level for Moscrop Secondary School. She has assisted her team to three-straight provincial championships and was part of the Western Canadian Championship squad in 2024. Jia is looking to major in neuroscience at Delaware.

Kelsey McPeek | Orefield, Pa. | Parkland High School
McPeek is a four-year varsity swimmer at Parkland High School who has earned the honor of being named team captain prior to her senior season. Individually, she has won three-straight district medals and has been named an EPC League All-Star three seasons in a row. McPeek is a Pennsylvania state medalist in the 200 medley relay and 100-breast. Her mother, Allison, swam for Loyola (Md.) from 2001-04. Academically, she has been a two-time Scholastic All-American and plans to major in wildlife ecology and conservation at UD.Lindsay Murtaugh | Roanoke, Va. | William Byrd High School
Murtaugh has swam at William Byrd High School in Virginia for the past four years and was named a captain prior to this season. She is a back-to-back Blue Ridge District Swimmer of the Year and has been named all-state the past three seasons. Murtaugh earned Region 3D Swimmer of the Year honors in 2024-25 and was part of the district champion team. Mother, Miranda, swam at Virginia Tech, and siblings Abigail and Colin currently swim at George Mason. She plans to major in business while attending Delaware.Sydney Wolbert | East Stroudsburg, Pa. | East Stroudsburg South Senior High School
Wolbert was a four-year varsity swimmer at East Stroudsburg South Senior High School. She earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors and was part of the National Honor Society. Wolbert earned a plethora of YMCA honors, winning the district and state championship and qualifying for YMCA Nationals, where she recorded top eight and top 16 finishes. Her siblings, Emily and Zack, swam at La Salle University.
