INDIANAPOLIS — University of Delaware student-athletes posted a single-year graduation success rate (GSR) of 92-percent, the NCAA announced. This puts the Fightin' Blue Hens two percent higher than the national average of 90-percent and a half percent above the FBS average.
Ten programs tallied a perfect mark for UD– men's golf, men's soccer, men's tennis, rowing, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, women's swimming, women's tennis, and volleyball.
"We are committed to setting our student-athletes up for long-term success after graduation, and watching them receive their diplomas is the first step," Interim Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation Jordan Skolnick said. "I'm proUD of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff for continuing to uphold our core values and working diligently to sustain excellence both in the classroom and in competition. Thank you to our faculty members who care so deeply about the academic experience of our student-athletes as well."
Both the NCAA Graduation Success Rate and Federal Graduation Rates are based upon student-athlete cohorts from 2015-18 and reflect the percentage of student-athletes earning a degree within six years. The NCAA developed the Graduation Success Rate to account for transfer student-athletes, mid-year enrollees and others not tracked by the Federal Graduation Rates.
