Bliss Records Career-High as Men's Basketball Falls to CSUN

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware men's basketball fell to California State Northridge 88-66 at home on Saturday afternoon. UD moved to 3-7 on the season, while the Matadors improved to 6-5.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Christian Bliss recorded a career-high 21 points, including a career-high five made 3-pointers.
Justyn Fernandez rounded out the double-figure scoring with 17 points of his own.
Alex McFadden scored his first points of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Matadors scored nine of the first 12 points to open the first half and eventually grew to double digits at 22-11 with 10:22 remaining. The Blue Hens cut the Matadors lead to 24-17 with a Bliss 3-pointer. CSUN went on a 24-11 run over the final 8:29 of the first half to take a 48-28 lead.
CSUN opened the second half with a 13-2 run over the first five minutes and would not relinquish the lead.

GAME NOTES

Bliss has made 26-of-33 free throws this season, including 15-consecutive between the UNCG game and today's match up. He also has handed out at least four assists in each game this season and has scored at least 12 points in all but one game.

Delaware will stay in Newark to host Rider on Tuesday, December 16 at 7 p.m.
