Football Signs 19 During Early Signing Period

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football program has signed 19 student-athletes during the early signing period, head coach Ryan Carty announced Wednesday. The newest Fightin' Blue Hens hail from seven states and consist of 13 three-star prospects per 247Sports, 17 high school captains, six state champions, 10 all-state selections, 10 all-league selections, 18 all-county/district selections, and 13 all-region selections. "Adding a group of student-athletes of this caliber will help us continue to build on the foundation we have in place. Coming to the University of Delaware will not only provide them a positive student-athlete experience, but also allow them to receive an extraordinary education."
Cristian Alvarez
OL | 6'4 | 290 lbs | Woodcliff Lake, N.J. | Saint Joseph's Regional
Alvarez is an offensive lineman with a wrestling background, who brings a plethora of experience to Newark on the line. The three-year starter and one-time captain, who was part of the 2025 New Jersey State Champions, received all-league, all-county, and all-North Jersey honors in each of his final three seasons. He ranks as a three-star recruit on multiple recruiting sites, such as On3 and 247Sports. Alvarez also picked up a second team all-state laurel in 2024. He also competed in wrestling and track for four years, where he earned state runner-up honors, and won district and regional championships. He was ranked the No. 6 wrestler in the nation in the 285 lbs weight class during his high school career. Alvarez also placed second at the 2024 Beast of the East, a yearly tournament held at the Bob Carpenter Center. He plans to major in business while being a student at Delaware.
Tyler Bell
QB | 6'1 | 190 lbs | East Rutherford, N.J. | St. Peter's Prep
Bell signs with Delaware as the only quarterback recruit in the class. He wrapped up an illustrious career at St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, N.J. where he set a school record with 65 career passing touchdowns. Over his four seasons, with three as the starter, he threw for 5,064 yards, and accumulated 6,196 total yards and 79 total touchdowns. His father, Everett, competed in wrestling at Seton Hall University. Bell comes to Delaware as the second-best all-time recruit for the Blue & Gold according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect. Academically, the senior year team captain plans to join one of Delaware's newest major offerings in Sports Performance Analytics.
Collier Book
OL | 6'5 | 260 lbs | Dauphin, Pa. | Central Dauphin
Book, a captain his senior year, is an offensive lineman who signs with the Blue Hens by way of Central Dauphin High School. The Dauphin, Pa., native earned Mid-Penn First Team Offense and Second Team Defense honors in 2025. He is ranked a three-star recruit on multiple recruiting websites. Book also competed in swimming for three years. His father, Carson, played offensive line at Bucknell University, earning an All-Patriot League nod as a senior. Book comes to Delaware as the 23rd-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports. Academically, he was named a Great American Scholar Athlete and was a member of the National Honor Society. Book plans to major in marketing while enrolled at Delaware.
Christian Corbin
DL | 6'2 | 292 lbs | Newport News, Va. | Warwick
Flipping to the other side of the ball, the Hens bring in Corbin, a four-time all-region and three-time all-state defensive lineman from Newport News, Va. He started all four years and was named captain for each of his final three seasons at Warwick High School. He also competed in wrestling and track & field for the Raiders, where he finished second in the VHSL State Wrestling Championship. Corbin comes to Delaware as the fifth-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect. He plans on majoring in business marketing at UD.

LB | 6'2 | 220 lbs | Clearwater, Fla | Clearwater
A four-year starter and two-time district champion joins the Blue & Gold as Cunningham signs with Delaware out of Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Fla. He totaled 110 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, eight sacks, 16 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. Academically, he was named to the honor roll and the Principal's List. The two-time captain is one of six Florida natives joining a Blue Hens squad that rostered 11 from The Sunshine State in 2025. He plans on majoring in finance at UD.
Demarco Daniels
LB | 6'1 | 215 lbs | Hawthorne, Fla. | Eastside
Daniels heads north to Delaware via Eastside High School. The four-year team captain helped his school to three 3A-District 5 titles in his four years. The Hawthorne, Fla. native was able to secure player of the year honors in football, while also playing basketball for Eastside. He plans on majoring in sport management at UD.
Jaiden Edwards
OL | 6'5 | 300 lbs | Fredericksburg, Va. | Courtland
Edwards, a three-star recruit and four-year starter, spent his first two high school seasons at Christiansburg High School before finishing his career at Courtland High School for the next two years. The Fredericksburg, Va. native was a star on both sides of the ball, playing offensive and defensive line. As an offensive lineman, he was a four-time first team all-district selection, a two-time first team all-region selection, and one-time second team all-district and all-region selection. On the defensive line, Edwards was a 2023 all-state honorable mention, a two-time first team all-district selection, a two-time first team all-region honoree, and a one-time second team all-region selection. As a team captain his senior season, Edwards helped his team to a Battlefield District title, totaling 41 tackles, 13 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, nine QB hurries, two pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and one touchdown. He also played basketball and track and field, placing first at regionals in shotput and discus.
Noah Frazier
DL | 6'2 | 250 lbs | Spring Hill, Fla. | Cheshire Academy
Frazier, three-time team captain, signed with the Blue Hens after five years at the secondary level, playing two for Weeki Wachee High School in Florida, and three at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. He was named First Team All-NEPSAC in 2024 and 2025, after earning Second Team All-NEPSAC as a sophomore. Frazier holds the record for most tackles in a season at Weeki Wachee High School with 103. Additionally, he added 33 tackles for loss and 12 sacks that season. He also competed in track and field and basketball, winning first place in the NEPSTA Division II discus throw. Frazier earned three-star status from recruiting websites such as ESPN, On3, and 247Sports, ranking as the 22nd-highest ranked recruit in program history according to 247Sports. He plans to major in university studies while enrolled at Delaware.
Carson Griffin
WR | 6'2 | 185 lbs | Lynn Haven, Fla. | A. Crawford Mosley
Griffin comes to Newark from Bay County, Florida, after spending three seasons on the varsity squad at A. Crawford Mosley High School. He made an impact on both sides of the ball, reeling in 107 passes for 1,630 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense and 84 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and six interceptions at safety over his varsity career. Griffin was twice named All-Bay County and once named Florida Athletic Coaches Association All Region. Alongside his team, he was a two-time Bay County champion and three-time district champion. In track, he was named all-county, as well as a county champion. Academically, Griffin earned academic honor roll from 2023-25 and was involved in BETA Club. Griffin was ranked as a three-star recruit on On3, ESPN, and 247Sports and comes to Delaware as the third-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports. He plans to major in business at Delaware.

Gummer joins the Blue Hens after five standout seasons at Bishop Moore Catholic in Florida. He accrued 170 career tackles, 47 pass breakups, 15 interceptions, and five touchdowns in his career. The three-star prospect on On3, ESPN, and 247Sports was a two-time state champion and three-time district champion. He is the 10th-highest recruit the Blue Hens have landed in program history according to 247Sports. Gummer also competed three years in track, where he was the 2024-25 team captain. His father, Jade, played football for Western Kentucky University from 1994-1998, and his brother Jalen plays football for Furman. Academically, he earned Dean's and President's List honors, and plans to major in business at UD.

Jester comes to Delaware after four varsity seasons at Thomas County Central High School. He was part of the winningest class in program history, as he assisted them to a 51-3 record, including captaining them to three region championships and a state championship in 2023. Statistically, he compiled 111 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, eight interceptions, and 16 pass break-ups. Jester also competed in track, most notably in the 100-meter dash. His relative, Malachi Thomas, plays football for the University of Pittsburgh. Academically, he plans to major in business at Delaware.
Kevin Moore

Moore, a defensive back from Long Island, N.Y., comes to Newark after starting three seasons at St. Anthony's High School. He was named all-state and all-league in his final three seasons, reeling in eight interceptions and recording 170 tackles. Moore started all four years in basketball, earning all-league three times and captaining his team to a 2025 state championship. He won the Duns Scotus Academic Award in each of his first three years at St. Anthony's and was a member of the National Honor Society. His father, Kevin, played football at Hofstra. He plans to major in sports health at Delaware.

Muldrow, a three-time team captain, signs with Delaware after starting three seasons at Franklin High School on the offensive line. He also competed in basketball and track. He was named a three-star recruit by 247Sports, On3, and ESPN, ranking as the 15th highest-ranked recruit in program history.
Nakeem Powell
RB | 6'0 | 185 lbs | West Berlin, N.J. | Winslow Township
Powell is the lone running back signed by the Hens in this class. He was a four-year starter, where he was part of a Winslow Township team that won two state championships and three sectional championships. Powell was one of the football team captains as a senior. He also competed in wrestling, where he was a two-time captain. His relative, Imion Powell, played football at New Hampshire. He plans to major in kinesiology at Delaware.
Tae'Sean Robinson
WR | 6'0 | 188 lbs | Tampa, Fla. | Sumner
A three-year starter at Sumner High School in Tampa, Fla. joins the Blue Hen receiving corps as part of the class of 2030. He was a captain of the team for two seasons. As a senior in 2025, he reeled in 47 passes for 914 yards, and 16 touchdowns, as the Stingrays played to a 10-3 record. In 2024, Robinson became the first 1,000-yard receiver in Sumner High School history. He ranks as the sixth-highest recruit that the Blue Hens have landed in 247Sports history, ranking as a three-star. He plans to major in philosophy at Delaware.
Dorian Rutledge
DB | 6'2 | 185 lbs | Chester, Pa. | Middletown (Del.)
Rutledge, a defensive back, who prepped at Middletown High School in the 302, joins Delaware after helping his team to back-to-back DIAA State Championships. He recorded 67 tackles, 42 pass breakups, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a touchdown as a four-year starter. Rutledge also competed in basketball, baseball, and track in high school – being named captain of the former two. He earned All-Ches Mont honors in his lone season of track as a freshman in the 200m and high jump. Rutledge comes to Delaware as the fourth-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect. He plans to major in criminal justice at Delaware.
Brandon Truszkowski
OL | 6'7 | 300 lbs | Hatfield, Pa. | Germantown Academy
Truszkowski, a team captain his senior season, was a four-year starter on the offensive line at Germantown Academy. He was named the team's O-Line MVP. The Hatfield, Pa. native also shot put in high school, consistently finding himself in the top seven of the meets. A true athlete, Truszkowski won the PAISAA league track title his sophomore year. Truszkowski intends to major in business.
Rowen Walsh
TE | 6'5 | 240 lbs | West Friendship, Md. | Our Lady of Good Counsel
Walsh comes to the 302 by way of Our Lady of Good Counsel, starting his final three seasons. The 2025 Second Team All-WCAC selection set the single season record for receptions by a tight end in school history with 37. His Our Lady of Good Counsel team won the WCAC Championship in 2023, going 10-1 that season. Walsh comes to Delaware as the 14th-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect. Walsh's family is no stranger to the Fightin' Blue Hens as his uncle Ryan graduated from Delaware in 1998. Walsh's brother Connor played basketball and football at Stonehill, while his other brother, Gavin, currently plays basketball at UNCW. The West Friendship, Md. native plans on majoring in communications.
Joseph Zamot
LB | 6'0 | 215 lbs | Millville, N.J. | The Lawrenceville School
Zamot, the future finance major, spent his high school career at Millville, playing three seasons for the Thunderbolts before prepping the next two years at The Lawrenceville School. The Millville, N.J. native was a five-time letter winner, a three-year starter, and a one-year captain as a senior. He earned First Team All-NJ Prep School Defense honors to go with two NJSIAA state titles in 2021 and 2022. Zamot totaled 277 tackles, 40 TFLs, seven interceptions, two pick-sixes, five PBUs, five sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one fumble returned for a touchdown. He also competed in basketball from 2021-22, was in the National Honor Society for academics, and played golf. Zamot's brothers, Joshua and Jacob, each played college football at Stony Brook and Kutztown, respectively. Zamot comes to Delaware as the ninth-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect.

His Our Lady of Good Counsel team won the WCAC Championship in 2023, going 10-1 that season. Walsh comes to Delaware as the 14th-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect. Walsh's family is no stranger to the Fightin' Blue Hens as his uncle Ryan graduated from Delaware in 1998. Walsh's brother Connor played basketball and football at Stonehill, while his other brother, Gavin, currently plays basketball at UNCW. The West Friendship, Md. native plans on majoring in communications.
Joseph Zamot

Zamot, the future finance major, spent his high school career at Millville, playing three seasons for the Thunderbolts before prepping the next two years at The Lawrenceville School. The Millville, N.J. native was a five-time letter winner, a three-year starter, and a one-year captain as a senior. He earned First Team All-NJ Prep School Defense honors to go with two NJSIAA state titles in 2021 and 2022. Zamot totaled 277 tackles, 40 TFLs, seven interceptions, two pick-sixes, five PBUs, five sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one fumble returned for a touchdown. He also competed in basketball from 2021-22, was in the National Honor Society for academics, and played golf. Zamot's brothers, Joshua and Jacob, each played college football at Stony Brook and Kutztown, respectively. Zamot comes to Delaware as the ninth-best all-time recruit for the Hens according to 247Sports, finishing as a three-star prospect.
