Five Hens Score in Double Figures as Women’s Basketball Earns Sixth-Straight Win at Elon

ELON, N.C. – Five Blue Hens scored in double figures as the University of Delaware women's basketball team took down the Elon Phoenix, 60-51 on the road. The Hens have now won six-straight games, improving to 10-14 (7-7 CAA), while the Phoenix fall to 13-11 (7-6 CAA).

HENS HIGHLIGHTS
- Chloe Wilson led the way with 15 points, going 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.
- Rebecca Demeke and Ella Wanzer each tallied 12 points on 5-of-10 from the floor with two threes apiece.
- Michelle Ojo recorded 11 points to go with six rebounds.
- Tara Cousins added 10 points, shooting 50-percent from beyond the arc.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elon led 8-5 at the game's initial media stoppage with 4:40 to go in the first quarter. After one, UD trailed 14-13.
- The second quarter was the same result as the first with Elon outscoring the Blue Hens 14-13 in the frame, leading to a 28-26 halftime score.
- Delaware took a 36-30 lead after a 10-0 run over 5:03 with 4:12 to go in the third. UD added a 7-0 run over the final 1:36 of the third quarter to take a 46-39 advantage into the fourth.
- The Blue & Gold outpaced the Phoenix 14-12 in the final frame to take the contest.
GAME NOTES
- Cousins and Wilson tallied their sixth-straight game in double figures.
- Demeke posted her third-straight game with 10 or more points, while Wanzer recorded her second such contest.
- The Blue & Gold improve to 9-2 when they have at least four double-digit scorers.
- The win extends the longest winning-streak since Sarah Jenkins took over the program to six games.
