Namakonov Wins 50 Freestyle on Day Two of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. - Matvei Namakonov wins the 50 freestyle as the University of Delaware swimming & diving team completes day two of the Coastal Athletic Association Championships on Thursday, Feb. 28.
The Blue Hens sit in second place overall out of six teams.

- Namakonov won the 50 freestyle with a program record time of 19.43
- The men's 400 medley relay team of Gavin Currie, Toni Sabev, Namakonov and Addison Collins was second with a time 3:07.96
- Denys Mialkovskyi was third in the 500 freestyle with a freshman record time of 4:23.97
- Brian Wilbur broke the freshman record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.95
