Third-Annual 302 Tour Dates Announced; Chicken Chase 5k Registration Open

NEWARK, Del. – Dates for the third-annual 302 Tour have been set, the University of Delaware Department of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation announced Wednesday in conjunction with Government Relations, Development and Alumni Relations, Admissions, and the Office of Communications and Marketing. The tour will take place from Thursday, June 12 through Saturday, June 14.
During the tour, UD student-athletes, coaches, and other leaders will embark on a three-day, state-wide trip across Delaware where they will have the opportunity to engage with local community members, businesses, and government leaders throughout Kent, New Castle, and Sussex counties. The tour will be spending a day in each county.
When the Hens are in Sussex County, they will host the 4th Annual Chicken Chase 5k and 1 Mile Walk, presented by The Starboard, in Dewey Beach on June 14. Those interested in running or walking in the event, which includes a post-race party at The Starboard, can register here.

Located in Newark, Delaware, University of Delaware Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation sponsors 21 varsity sports and three spirit teams. Aiming to achieve excellence together, the department boasts a storied history of 529 All-Americans, 138 conference titles, and 10 national championships. Currently competing in the Coastal Athletic Association, the department will transition to FBS football and become a full-time member of Conference USA, while also adding women's ice hockey as the 22nd varsity sport – both effective July 1, 2025.
