Baseball Splits Doubleheader With Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The University of Delaware baseball team split a doubleheader against Monmouth on Saturday.
The Blue Hens won the first game 5-0 and lost the second game 9-6.
With the results, the Blue Hens overall record is 27-22 and 11-12 in Coastal Athletic Association play.

GAME ONE
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Aaron Graeber (2-for-4, RBI, SB), Evan Bouldin (2-for-4, BB) and LT Cockrill (2-for-3, BB) had multiple hits on the day.
- Elias Conway, Ryan McLaughlin and Carter Welch pitched all nine innings of the game. They allowed eight combined hits and struck out six batters. Ryan McLaughlin was credited with the win, he is now 2-4 on the season.
- Stewart opened the game with an RBI single in the top of the first inning.
- The Blue Hens didn't strike again until the sixth inning when Matthew Minckler hit a sacrifice fly to center field.
- In the eighth, Minckler got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and Graeber hit a sacrifice fly to give the Blue Hens a 4-0 lead.
- In the ninth, Brett Lesher drove in a run off a fielder's choice. Bouldin scored on the play off of a throwing error.
