DACCR Holds Women in Leadership Panel & Networking Night

NEWARK, Del. – As part of the University Delaware Department of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation's Career Readiness Program, the Women in Leadership Panel & Networking Night was held in April, offering an evening of inspiration, insight, and meaningful connections for student-athletes.

The evening began with welcome remarks and quickly transitioned into a compelling panel discussion, hosted by Deputy AD, Chief Operating Officer/SWA Chelsey Burk. The panel featured three dynamic and accomplished female leaders:

Carrie Leishman, President & CEO, Delaware Restaurant Association
Michelle Ray, CEO, Blackwell HR Solutions
Jennifer Kenton, Chief Commercial Officer, CSC

Each speaker shared her personal leadership journey, offering valuable advice on navigating careers, overcoming obstacles, and developing confidence in professional environments. Their stories struck a powerful chord with attendees, encouraging thoughtful conversations and empowering student-athletes to envision their futures beyond the playing field.

The second half of the evening featured a networking session, giving student-athletes the opportunity to engage directly with panelists and representatives from a variety of local organizations.
