Strong Second Half Leads to Draw for Women's Soccer

TOWSON, Md. – With multiple second half goals, the University of Delaware women's soccer program earned a 2-2 draw against Towson on Thursday.
The Fightin' Blue Hens overall record is 4-0-1.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Brooke Vogel and Lilli Lubic scored their second goals of the season.
- Vogel's goal was assisted by Adiat Olaogun-Dickson and Sophia Zeppos. Both earned their first career assist.
- Gabby Riley was credited with the assist on Lubic's goal. It is her second of the season.
- Sophia Hall started in goal and collected five saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers took a 2-0 lead into the half after they scored goals in the 27th and 38th minute.
- Vogel cut the Tigers lead in the 52nd minute. Back-to-back passes from Olaogun-Dickson and Zeppos were sent to the goalkeeper's box. Vogel fought off a Tigers defender and made a diving effort to slip the ball to the left corner of the net.
- In the 69th minute, Lubic received a great cross from Riley and made a leaping effort to get the ball under the crossbar to tie the game at 2-2.
GAME NOTES
- The Blue Hens continue their hot start to the season. Their 4-0-1 record is the best start to a season since 2006.
- This is the second time under third year head coach Kelly Lawrence where the Blue Hens trailed 2-0 and fought back to tie the game at 2-2, which happened at Stony Brook on September 14, 2023.
- UD recorded its fourth multi-goal game this season.
