Football Hosts WKU for Inaugural CUSA Home Contest, Parents & Family Weekend

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will host WKU for its first-ever Conference USA home matchup and annual Parents & Family Weekend game on Friday, October 3 at 7 p.m. at Delaware Stadium. The game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network. The last time the Fightin' Blue Hens had a nationally televised home game was October 3, 2015 against William & Mary on NBC Sports Network, exactly a decade to the day from Friday's scheduled contest against the Hilltoppers.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters the contest 3-1, 1-0 CUSA, coming off a bye week following a 38-16 victory at FIU, the program's first-ever Conference USA victory.
- QB Nick Minicucci leads the team with 1,058 yards and eight touchdown passes, while rushing for a team-best four touchdowns. The signal caller also ranks second in CUSA with 264.5 passing yards per contest, trailing only WKU's Maverick McIvor (294.8).
- RB Jo Silver, a preseason Doak Walker Award Candidate, leads UD's rushing attack with 326 yards on the season to go with three rushing touchdowns. Silver averages 81.5 rushing yards per game, good for third best in CUSA.
- WR Kyre Duplessis, who leads CUSA in receiving yards per game (76.5) and ranks 45th nationally, ripped off his first career punt return touchdown on a 68-yard return at FIU. The return touchdown landed him the league's special teams player of the week nod. He paces the Hens with 30 receptions, 306 yards, and two receiving touchdowns. - S KT Seay leads the Hens in tackles this season with 31, followed by LBs Gavin Moul and Dillon Trainer with 29 apiece.
- Delaware is second in the conference in scoring offense, averaging 31.0 points per game. UD trails only WKU, which is putting up 35.0 points per contest.
ABOUT THE HILLTOPPERS
- WKU is led by seventh-year head coach Tyson Helton, who owns a 52-33 career record at the helm of the Hilltoppers.
- The Hilltoppers enter the contest 4-1, 2-0 CUSA, coming off a 27-22 win over Missouri State.
- WKU's offense is led by QB Maverick McIvor, who has 1,474 yards passing and 11 touchdowns on the season, both best in Conference USA. His 294.8 passing yards per game also are tops in the league.
- The Hilltoppers spread the ball around on the ground, with three rushers having over 150 yards on the season – La'vell Wright (177), George Hart III (157), and Marvish Parrish (157).
- WR Matthew Henry is the team's leading receiver with 278 yards, while being tied with WR K.D. Hutchinson in receiving TDs with three each – both are tied for second in the conference.
- On defense, LB Jaylen Wester has 25 tackles on the campaign to lead the team.
