BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team topped non-conference opponent Lehigh University 3-1 on the road Tuesday evening.

With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens' overall record becomes 9-0-1, continuing the best start in program history.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Marius Stenner (2) and Rich Monath scored for the Hens.
- This was Stenner's 19th and 20th career goals and Monath's 11th.
- Stenner's first half goal was assisted by Jan Schroeder and Mikey Johnson, and his second half goal was assisted by Beckett Field. Freddy Jeffreys assisted Monath's goal.
- JoJo Elliott Jr. collected his 10th career start and ninth win with one save on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stenner struck first in the 10th minute of the game, off of assists from Schroeder and Johnson.
- In the 39th minute of play, Monath scored from deep and was assisted by Jeffreys, making the score 2-0 Delaware at halftime.
- Lehigh scored early in the second half to cut the Hens' in half.
- Then in the 63rd minute of the game, Stenner scored his second goal of the night from Field.

GAME NOTES
- With this win, the Blue Hens remain one of 18 teams in the nation without a loss through eight or more games.
- After last week, Delaware is receiving voted in the United Soccer Coaches Association national rankings poll and is still ranked fourth in the West Region.

UP NEXT
The men's soccer program heads to Denver University for its second Summit League match up of the season. Kick off is at 5pm.
