Women's Tennis Defeats FDU for 10th-Straight Home Win

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware women's tennis picked up its 10th-straight home victory with a victory over FDU by a score of 5-2. Delaware improves to 3-1, while FDU drops to 0-1.

ON THE RECORD
"A hard-fought match from start to finish," head coach Pablo Montana said. "Doubles continues to improve, singles tested us, and we responded well. We will build on this and carry the momentum into Rutgers."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

UD captured the doubles point, winning all three matches. Emma Akselrod and Hanna Vinahradava won in straight sets in third doubles.
The duo of Amelia Gorman and Navya Vadlamudi won 7-5 over the Knights' first doubles squad and are now 7-1 on the year.
Delaware won four-of-six singles matches.
Akselrod prevailed in a three-set pro-set, 6-4, 2-6, 10-7, and has now gone unbeaten in singles since September 19, winning nine-straight.
