Women's Swimming & Diving's Novinskiy Becomes the First Female Athlete in Program History to Punch Ticket to NCAA Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – Victoria Novinskiy took first place in the 100-Yard Butterfly to become the first woman in program history to qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships as the University of Delaware women's swimming & diving team is in first place after the second day of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Swimming & Diving Championships.
After day two, the Fightin' Blue Hens have scored 900 points.
RESULTS
- The 200-free relay quartet of Angi Ragazzoni, Judy Liu, Olivia Willemsen, and Elishka Hajek finished in third place with a time of 1:32.27 to start night two.
- Alex Pastris became the first Blue Hen to capture a championship in the ASUN era as she won the 1-meter dive at 281.60.
- In Novinskiy's historic win in the 100-fly, she also broke her own program record at 51.92.
- Piper Price won the 400-IM with a time of 4:15.97, capturing the program record. In addition, she shattered the freshman record by just under five seconds, finishing 5:69 under her preliminary time of 4:21.66.
- Another freshman, Elisa Spera, finished the 400-IM with a podium finish. The Italy native took third at 4:19.12.
- Ragazzoni finished the 200-free at 1:48.41, taking first place.
- Ragazzoni, Bri Cottingham, Novinskiy, and Liu broke the record they set at the 2025 CAA Championships by finishing the 400-medley relay, taking first place at 3:36.28.
