NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware women's tennis swept Hofstra by a score of 7-0 at Elkton Indoor Tennis Friday.

The Fightin' Blue Hens improve to 9-2, while the Pride drop to 2-9. This moves Delaware's all-time mark against Hofstra to 31-2.

ON THE RECORD
"We are on a nice roll right now, and it always starts with our doubles, head coach Pablo Montana said. "Our doubles continue to look strong, and that momentum carries into singles. Today we took care of business on all six singles courts, and we'll use this confidence as we prepare for LIU on Sunday. A special shoutout to our assistant coach Kylie Moulin, who continues to help lead our young ladies with integrity, character, and sportsmanship."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

UD clinched the doubles point for the 11th match in a row, as all three pairs won their matches 6-1.
Amelia Gorman and Navya Vadlamudi won their sixth doubles match in a row, moving to 11-1 on the season.
Katie Dollens and Lara Russiniello picked up their fifth-straight doubles match, improving to 6-1.
In singles action, Emma Akselrod, in her first singles match since February 13, dismantled her opponent, winning 6-0, 6-1 in fifth singles.
Russiniello, Gorman, and Paulina Jurkowska followed up, winning in straight sets, with Gorman clinching the match for Delaware.
Tomichek, who alongside Akselrod had not competed since Seton Hall, finished the day off winning 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the seventh point.
