Rowing Competes at Temple

PHILADELPHIA – University of Delaware rowing competed at the Temple Invite on Saturday on the Schuylkill River. This is the program's first competition hosted by another MAC opponent since officially joining the conference on July 1, 2025.
Other teams taking part alongside the new league foes were Navy, Georgetown, La Salle, Fordham, and Monmouth.
The regatta ran in a two-round format, where the Fightin' Blue Hens picked up one win in round one and three victories in the second round.
ROUND ONE HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- In the Varsity 8+, Delaware placed third with a time of 6:36.06.
- The second Varsity 8+ finished second at 6:37.63.
- The Blue & Gold's 3V8+ took second at 7:11.33.
- Starting off boats of four action, the V4+ came in third at 7:30.90.
- The 2V4+ finished third at 7:41.27.
- Concluding round one, the 3V4+ won the heat 21 seconds ahead of the next boat at 7:29.16.
ROUND TWO HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- In the afternoon, the V8+ got things started with a win at 6:46.32.
- The 2V8+ followed that up with another first place finish at 6:51.30.
- UD's 3V8+ finished second at 6:37.63.
- Delaware took second in the V4+ and the 2V4+ with times of 7:41.44 and 7:35.33, respectively.
- Finishing out the day, the Hens notched a victory in the 3V4+, the boat's second of the day at 7:32.80, another 20-second win.
