Women's Tennis Takes Down Temple 6-1

PHILADELPHIA - University of Delaware women's tennis picked up a 6-1 win over Temple in its final road match of the season.

The Fightin' Blue Hens move to 13-4, while the Owls drop to 8-7.

ON THE RECORD
"That was a good road win against a good Temple team," head coach Pablo Montana said. "We continue to bring the energy in doubles and carry that momentum into singles. I'm proud of how our girls responded, showing real heart and resilience. We'll build on this confidence as we get ready for VCU on Friday."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

UD clinched the doubles point for the 16th time this season, with Amelia Gorman and Navya Vadlamudi improving to 15-3 on the season after breaking a 1-1 tie, winning second doubles 6-4.
In singles, Delaware took each of the first three in straight sets to clinch the match.
Hanna Vinahradava won 6-1, 6-0 in sixth singles to move to 19-3 on the year.
In succession, in fifth singles, Vadlamudi emerged victorious 6-1, 6-3.
Lara Russiniello followed just behind, clinching the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win in fourth singles. She finishes the month of March with a 7-1 record in singles.
Gorman picked up her second win on the day in third singles, fighting back in a third set to improve to 13-4 in dual action.
Paulina Jurkowska picked up the final point for the Hens, winning second singles in straight sets at 6-4, 6-3.
