Men's Tennis Records Sixth-Consecutive Win in 7-0 Win Over Bryant

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware men's tennis captured its sixth-straight win in a 7-0 drubbing of Bryant University. The Fightin' Blue Hens rise to 9-1 on the year. The Bulldogs fall to 3-10.

For the first time since March 1-6, 2020, Delaware has gone three-straight matches without allowing the opposition to win a point.

With six singles wins today, Delaware is now 44-8 in dual match action across singles play. All nine team members have won at least two-consecutive matches. Tobey Lock is carrying a nine-match win streak, while Mason Robins has taken six-straight.

ON THE RECORD
"In my opinion, our best overall team performance of the season tonight," interim head coach Nathan Perrone said. "We really brought it everywhere against a tough team. Thank you to Wilmington Country Club for being able to host us last minute. Really wonderful people over there. We are now 9-1 with a big time match next for us against a top ranked team in Columbia. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do."

- UD won the doubles point handedly, with Tobey Lock/Euan Mackenzie and Mason Robins/James Sclater winning 6-2, 6-3, respectively.
- The duo of Robins and Sclater improved to 5-0 on the year.
- The Blue & Gold only dropped one set in singles, which came on a tiebreaker.
- Itamar Tapiro won fourth singles to start off six-consecutive singles wins for Delaware.
- This was the fifth time this season that Delaware won all six singles matches.
