Women's Tennis Wins Fifth-Straight Contest Defeating Saint Joseph's 4-0

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware women's tennis picked up a 4-0 win over Saint Joseph's on the DFH Outdoor Courts Thursday afternoon.

The Fightin' Blue Hens improve to 17-4, while the Hawks fall to 4-16. The win was Delaware's 19th-straight home win.

ON THE RECORD
"We're doing a great job carrying momentum, especially in doubles where we've been dominant," head coach Pablo Montana said. "In singles, our physicality and consistency really wore them down today."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Delaware moved to 33-3 against St. Joe's all-time and have won the last seven meetings.
UD recorded the doubles point for the 20th time this season, with Katie Dollens/Lara Russiniello taking their match in second doubles 6-1 and Emma Akselrod/Hanna Vinahradava teaming up for the first time since February 1 to win 6-1 in the third spot.
In singles, Navya Vadlamudi took advantage of the conserved energy from an unfinished doubles match to cruise to a 6-0, 6-1 win in fourth singles.
Hanna Vinahradava moved to 5-0 in the season when playing fifth singles, winning 6-3, 6-0.
Clinching the match was Lara Russiniello, winning 6-0, 6-4 in third singles.
All three Blue Hens that recorded singles wins are 9-1 over their last 10 matches.
