Women's Tennis Wins Fifth-Straight Contest Defeating Saint Joseph's 4-0

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware women's tennis picked up a 4-0 win over Saint Joseph's on the DFH Outdoor Courts Thursday afternoon.
The Fightin' Blue Hens improve to 17-4, while the Hawks fall to 4-16. The win was Delaware's 19th-straight home win.
ON THE RECORD
"We're doing a great job carrying momentum, especially in doubles where we've been dominant," head coach Pablo Montana said. "In singles, our physicality and consistency really wore them down today."

- Delaware moved to 33-3 against St. Joe's all-time and have won the last seven meetings.
- UD recorded the doubles point for the 20th time this season, with Katie Dollens/Lara Russiniello taking their match in second doubles 6-1 and Emma Akselrod/Hanna Vinahradava teaming up for the first time since February 1 to win 6-1 in the third spot.
- In singles, Navya Vadlamudi took advantage of the conserved energy from an unfinished doubles match to cruise to a 6-0, 6-1 win in fourth singles.
- Hanna Vinahradava moved to 5-0 in the season when playing fifth singles, winning 6-3, 6-0.
- Clinching the match was Lara Russiniello, winning 6-0, 6-4 in third singles.
- All three Blue Hens that recorded singles wins are 9-1 over their last 10 matches.
